On this tour you will visit the hacienda Sotuta de Peon in the village Teco in Yucatan. The hacienda was build in the late 1800′s. Hacienda’s played an important part in the Yucatecan history and it was there that the sisal or hennequen was produced and next exported. In hacienda Sotuta the Peon you can see the processing of sisal and the process will be explained. The tour will also visit the buildings of the hacienda and a traditional Mayan house. You will also have the possibility to swim in the Cenote of the hacienda.

Visit to the Main House
Finished Goods Plant
Truck Ride (Platform pulled by mules)
Mayan House with stories and the occasional tale by Don Antonio
Cenotes Visit (Dzul-Ha Underground River. Masks and Life Jacket Supplied)

You will be returned to hotel Mérida Santiago at 4 pm.
For the 1 pm tour:
Time 12:00pm Hotel Merida Santiago Lobby (Minimum 4 persons)
You will be returned to hotel Mérida Santiago at 6 pm.
