A nice way to get introduced to the city of Mérida is having a guided walking tour in the historical center.
The tour is focusses on the Plaza Grande where explanation will be given to the City hall, the Main Square, Francisco de Montejo’s house, the Government Palace, Saint Ildephone Cathedral and the Macay museum.
A short visit to the beautiful theater Peon Contreras in the calle 60, the Santa Lucia Square and the Church of the Tercer Orden, is also on the agenda. The total tour will take about 2 hours and the start will be at the city hall.
